You can become a zookeeper for a day at the Central Park Zoo
The Central Park Zoo offers an exclusive opportunity for those who want to learn about the art of caring for animals. Would you like to become a zookeeper for a day? According to Time Out, all New Yorkers over 18 now have this option.
The season’s first and only adult event will let you feel like you’re actually working on zoo grounds and can interact with the animals before visitors enter the zoo grounds.
You’ll have the unique opportunity to roll up your sleeves and spend the morning helping dedicated zookeepers with their daily animal care duties, including cleaning and food preparation.
Then you can get up close and personal with the adorable little animals and play with them. It’s an exciting adventure, but be prepared for some fiddling. And don’t forget to dress appropriately.
