On November 6, the New York Transportation Administration (MTA) launched a survey of customer opinions on public transport in the city. Riders of the subway, buses, Long Island Rail Road, Metro-North and Access-A-Ride are asked to share their “good, bad and ugly experiences” with the transit service.

You can take part in the survey online until November 20. Those who fill out the form will get a chance win a $50 OMNY gift card.

When it comes to what people think of the city’s transportation system, there are as many opinions as there are stops in New York City. That’s why the MTA conducts surveys. The department wants to identify the key problems of transport operation, which, in the opinion of passengers, need to be solved first.

“These surveys allow us to learn what matters most to customers, help us develop new goals and track progress toward delivering a better customer experience,” said MTA Acting Chief Customer Officer Shanifa Riara. – Since the last survey, we have introduced new tariffs for travel on commuter trains, launched a new service notification system and made many other improvements throughout the system. Customer satisfaction is our top priority and we hope many passengers will take the time to take the survey and encourage others to do the same.”

By the time the survey is completed, the MTA hopes to have received information from approximately 100,000 people. The results will be known in early 2024.

Don’t forget to take part in the survey!
