This weekend you can visit 175 New York attractions for free

Open House New York 2023 is an annual, free, weekend-long event where historic buildings, architectural masterpieces, attractions and New York’s best attractions invite everyone to explore them. Where and when you can go this year, Time Out told.

This year Open House celebrates 21 years of “opening”. This weekend, October 20-22, city residents can expect a hybrid of tours, self-guided exploration and digital content. You can see inside everything from individual rooms, studios, factories and public spaces to entire buildings, neighborhoods, bike corridors and parks.

Open House New York Weekend invites everyone to experience a sense of discovery and excitement. This is one of the best events in New York this fall, the perfect opportunity to explore usually inaccessible places in the Big Apple.

Curious New Yorkers and those looking to experience the city on a whole new level will love Open House New York. This is an annual event that brings hundreds of normally off-limits sites and attractions across all five boroughs of the city to the public to get up close and personal for one weekend only.

The largest number of participants is expected in 2023.

Among them are the AT&T Long Distance lobby, the Garden on Madison, the Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum, the Lotus Garden and others. The schedule also includes walking tours, for example “The Birthplace of Hip-Hop”, a tour of the 42nd Street Theater District and a walking tour of the Audobon Mural Project.

All participating properties and events can be found on the Open House New York website.

There are over 175 open access venues that do not require tickets. You can visit them completely free of charge.
