Rockefeller Center skating rink will soon open for a new season
A gift for all lovers of winter entertainment: the world-famous Rockefeller Center skating rink will open on October 21 and will give New Yorkers its next, already 87th season, SecretNYC reports.
After a wonderful summer, when the Rockefeller Center skating rink was transformed into a retro roller skating rink, we are waiting for a new surface and new emotions: winter will come before you know it!
Tickets go on sale on September 26, so be sure to buy them before the start of the season and be the first to get to the skating rink. Tickets range from $21 to $73 depending on the day and time. The skating rink is open daily from 9:00 to 23:00.
Fun fact: The Rockefeller Center skating rink was intended as a temporary attraction to attract visitors to the square in 1936, but it quickly became an integral part of the famous location and officially became a permanent attraction in 1939.
So strap on your skates and get ready to do some pirouettes and fouettés. The skating rink is still located in the same place, on 5th Avenue between 49th and 50th streets.
