New York food and wine festival coming soon

It’s time for four wonderful days of enjoying the best food and drink in New York City. The Food Network New York City Wine and Food Festival, presented by CapitalOne, returns Oct. 12-15, TimeOut reports.

There will be over 80 events featuring over 500 chefs from around the world. They will bring you tastings, masterclasses, dinners, late nights, brunches, demos from Ellie Love, Marcus Samuelsson, Alex Guarnaschelli, Cardea Brown, Robert Irwin, Andrew Zimmern, Scott Conant, Jet Til and Jeff Mohr and many more.

This year, The Cookout will celebrate 50 years of hip-hop and will be hosted by Tamron Hall, Emmy Award-winning host of The Tamron Hall Show, and Angela Yee of Power 105.1’s “Way Up with Yee.”

The event will feature performances from DJ CASSIDY, DJ MICK, as well as ’90s icons and Grammy Award winners Rev Run and Ice-T. James Beard Award-winning chef JJ Johnson has selected talented Black chefs from New York City to showcase their skills.

There will also be “A Night at the Races,” hosted by Andrew Zimmern, and “Latin Nights” on the roof of New York Harbor with Latin tunes and drinks. It will be curated by Broken Shaker’s Gabe Orta, Bar Lab’s Elad Zvi, and 2023 North American Bartender of the Year Christine Wiseman.

What’s more, 100% of net proceeds from the festival will support God’s Love We Deliver, the city’s only provider of life-saving food and nutrition counseling to people living with serious illnesses.
