‘I did something bad’: New York homeowner stabbed three tenants to death and then surrendered to police

Three people were found stabbed to death in a New York City home early Tuesday, November 14, after the homeowner surrendered to police and gave a statement, Fox news reported.

The homeowner, a 54-year-old man, walked into a police station in the St. Albans borough of Queens around 7 a.m. and said he had “done something bad,” NYPD Assistant Chief Kevin Williams said. Williams added that the man behaved calmly during the conversation with the police.

Police then rushed to the man’s home at 122-39 Milburn St. and discovered the bodies of three victims. A man and woman, believed to be a married couple, were lying on the basement floor, and a 51-year-old woman was found stabbed to death in an upstairs bedroom.

Emergency personnel who responded to the scene pronounced all three victims dead. Those killed are believed to be residents of the house. Williams said the murder weapon has not yet been recovered.

The motive for the stabbings is unclear, but the killings are believed to have occurred following a dispute over rent, and the home’s owner may also have lived there.
