Cher hired people to kidnap her troubled son Elijah Blue Allman from a New York City hotel, the New York Post reports.
Pop legend Cher hired a group of men to kidnap her troubled son from his hotel room as he allegedly tried to save his marriage to his wife, according to newly surfaced court documents.
Elijah Blue Allman, the youngest son of the “goddess of pop,” was with Mariangela King in New York last November when four men broke into their hotel room. So says King in a statement. Allman filed for divorce from King in 2021, but in 2022 the couple decided to try to save their marriage. They spent 12 days together before Allman was kidnapped on November 30, 2022, their wedding anniversary.
“I am currently unaware of my husband’s well-being and whereabouts,” she wrote in a statement signed on December 4, 2022. “I’m very concerned and worried about him.” One of the four men who kidnapped him told me that his mother hired them.” She also said she believed he was “in isolation” at an undisclosed treatment facility without access to his phone.
“I understand his family’s efforts to make sure he is healthy, and I want the best for my husband,” the statement said.

Life in a hotel and a nurse
This year, the son of singer Cher lived for about six months at the famous Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood, and then went back to rehab. Hotel employees approached Cher about his appearance.
“Almost every morning and afternoon Elijah was seen on the sidewalk in front of the hotel, leaning against the wall or sitting on the sidewalk smoking,” one source said.
“He would come out with a full cigarette and by the time he finished smoking it, he would pass out,” the source added. “He always looked like someone had doused him with something.” He looked nervous and dirty, like a homeless person living on the street.”
The singer hired a nurse to care for the 47-year-old “Turn Back Time” singer, but Chateau Marmont staff found him lying face down and unconscious on the sidewalk in front of the hotel. Hotel staff picked him up and brought him into his room, and two days later authorities arrived and took him away for rehabilitation.
Cher had a difficult relationship with her son and ex-daughter-in-law, and, according to some reports, she did not speak to him for a long time.
Allman, who like his celebrity parents is also a musician, revealed in 2014 that he suffers from drug addiction. “I started taking drugs around the same time as the rest of us, around 11 years old. I mean, it’s just what you did, it’s just what everyone did,” he said. He also said that he has been drug-free since 2008.
