A rat from Brooklyn made his way to upstate New York and became an Internet star.

Dancers, coffee lovers and pizza lovers: the rats of New York have always been distinguished by their originality, but one of them the five boroughs of the city were not enough, and she decided to ride on the hood of a car exploring the beauty of the state, reports NBCSanDiego.

Kevin Koop had been driving from Brooklyn to upstate New York for three hours when a city rat suddenly appeared on the hood of his car. The Brooklyn-based documentary filmmaker and television producer headed upstate for a wedding in late August. It was then that he recorded this moment.

The footage, which later went viral, shows the rat crawling out from under the hood of his car and heading towards the windshield. “I just came upstate and I brought a f—-rat with me from Brooklyn,” Coop says in the video.

After a little adventure, the rat decided to make himself a cozy place between the hood and the windshield, and it seems that his plans included going to the wedding with Kevin. Coop said he made it to the wedding venue safely—and so did the rat.
