A new breathtaking skating rink opens in the Oculus shopping complex
New skating rinks are opening at a rapid rate in New York City. This winter, for the first time in history, you’ll be able to go ice skating at the iconic Oculus mall inside the World Trade Center, Time Out reports.
From November 24 to January 2024, ice skating enthusiasts will be able to skate under the iconic structure’s beautiful architecture while enjoying live musical performances.
The Winter Whirl Ice Rink will feature a wide variety of local food and beverage vendors – Eataly! Gansevoort Liberty Market! Epicerie Boulud! – and retail stores, making holiday shopping easier and more fun. Moreover, the stores will provide free gift wrapping services.
Given the newness of the skating rink and the importance of the shopping center in which it is located, we expect many locals and tourists to flock to the area when it opens in the coming weeks, so we advise you to make reservations in advance. Tickets include a 45-minute skating session and the rental of a pair of roller skates.
