St. Paul's Chapel of Trinity Church Wall Street (New York, NY)
The World Trade Center Memorial site in New York City is visited by over four million people a year. It is an incredibly tragic but also a spiritually uplifting experience. In the early evening, when the site is peaceful, and the crowds are smaller, you'll get a more poignant and personal experience. Starting at St. Paul's Chapel, an expert guide will explain the significance of the church and its role in the aftermath of the attacks. You'll also see the Bell of Hope, a gift from London that is rung once a year on the anniversary of the tragedy, as well as the completed construction and rebirth of the WTC. You'll get to enter the Oculus, the new transportation hub on the WTC site, then walk to the Fireman's Memorial to pay your respect to the brave, selfless firemen and other first responders that paid the ultimate price for their heroism. From there, you'll proceed to the Memorial grounds and walk through as your guide explains the symbolism of each piece and maybe includes some personal stories. Finally, you'll enter Brookfield Place to learn how it was affected by the attacks and see the Memorial of the Eleven Tears, which honors the employees of Amex who perished on the 94th floor of the North Tower.
