Praised for the “electrifying intimacy” of their playing (The Guardian), pianists Pavel Kolesnikov and Samson Tsoy have been performing as a duo since 2009 in addition to their flourishing solo careers. For their Carnegie Hall piano-duo debut, they present the fiendish original four-hands version of Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring together with Leonid Desyatnikov’s Trompe-l'œil, commissioned for them by the Aldeburgh Festival in 2023. This is followed by Schubert's F-Minor Fantasie, a masterpiece of the four-hands repertoire.
