Genre-bending, multi-instrumental ensemble Invoke brings together musical traditions from across America and beyond—including bluegrass, Appalachian fiddle tunes, jazz, and more. When the group was awarded “Most Foot-Stompin’ Classical” in The Austin Chronicle’s Best of Austin 2019, the publication wrote, “The group’s love of bluegrass and its lively spirit and playfulness are essential … They infuse their performances with such a down-home joyfulness that they can be playing Beethoven at the Blanton, and you’ll feel like you’re on a porch in the Blue Ridge Mountains.” Join them for this free, Sunday-afternoon performance at the Brooklyn Public Library to experience a truly unique and modern musical fusion.
Registration for this event is currently full. There will be a standby ticket line at the door on the day of the concert. Any reserved tickets that are not claimed by the start of the performance may be released to those in line on a first-come, first-served basis.
