With their bold and unusually expansive approach to son jarocho, these artists carve out a powerful new space in a longstanding tradition, blending a multitude of rhythms with traditional string instruments, percussion and percussive dance, a colorful assortment of projected visual effects, and poetic improvisation with a self-described emphasis on feminine voices and perspectives.
