This virtual event is part of Lincoln Center Moments, a free performance-based program specially designed for individuals with dementia and their caregivers. Join multiple Grammy-nominated trumpeter and Gotham Kings bandleader Alphonso Horne in exploring a selection of period music and dance from Africa and America to tell the story of charismatic leader “Mother Kofi” in an immersive theatrical ceremony, originally recorded in Lincoln Center’s David Rubenstein Atrium.

Virtual programs are 90 minutes long, including live and recorded performances and activities facilitated by educators and music therapists that explore the work through discussion, movement, music, and art-making. These programs are open to audiences impacted by dementia anywhere in the country with access to Zoom.
