There has been a multitude of efforts to discover habitable planets, known as exoplanets, in our known universe.
NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) has revealed a multitude of exoplanets in the nearby universe, and NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope (Webb) is now pushing to new frontiers to understand the life cycle of nearby stars and exoplanets.
In this Astronomy Live, Knicole Colón, astrophysicist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and the Webb Operations Project Scientist, will lead us through a captivating experience of the discoveries that started with TESS and continue now through JWST. Her research will help us dive into exoplanet findings and their characterization, as well as zoom into regions where stars and planets are forming and dying in our galaxy.
