Join us at the Museum for an artist-led picture book making workshop facilitated by Jessica Love, author and illustrator of award-winning children’s book Julián is a Mermaid. During the workshop, children will make their own picture books drawing inspiration from the prompt:
A Perfect Day in New York—what do you think is the perfect day in New York City?
Prior to the workshop, families are invited to participate in Storytime and Author Talk with Jessica Love at 12 PM.

Julián is a Mermaid is a story of a little boy who wants to become a mermaid and uses common household items to build his costume in preparation for the Coney Island Mermaid Parade.
